Cowan and Cowan Ltd, a London based builder specialising in conversions, moved to the Cotswolds in 2006.

Based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, Cowan and Cowan Ltd combine traditional craftwork using local craftsman resulting in unique, environmentally friendly homes. Design features include high specification kitchens and bathrooms, Cotswold stone walls, Cotswold roof tiles, underfloor heating, solar panels and ground source heat exchangers.

We firmly believe in implementing an environmentally responsible approach to our installations. Our ground source heat pump system installed along with underfloor heating works by extracting stored solar energy from the ground and converting it into useful heat for the home, significantly reducing fuel consumption and resulting carbon dioxide emissions. We anticipate that during the summer months, 60% of our hot water will be generated by solar energy, reducing the amount of fuel used, keeping bills down and reducing carbon dioxide emmissions from our properties.
